St Pete's Beach Family Session

This was probably the most exciting beach session I've had because of the weather.

This family contacted me months before their vacation and had everything planned for this photoshoot. Although the weather predictions made us hesitate, we decided to move forward and see what would happen.

Y'all- you can't tell by the photos but the storm was right behind us as we took these photos! This family gets the award for being the most flexible and optimistic as the storm was rolling in. I'm so thankful we were able to capture some sweet moments even with thunder rolling in. Enjoy!!

Choices Women's Clinic

"Every year 1.2 million abortions happen in our country. That’s 1 abortion every 20 seconds. But abortion isn’t just a national epidemic. It’s in our state. It’s in our city. In Florida, more than 71,000 abortions take place each and every year, ranking Florida #3 in the nation. About 11,000 of those happen right here in the greater Orlando area where we have 6 abortion clinics, 4 of which are late term (through 24 weeks).

Choices Women’s Clinic was founded to give women considering abortion somewhere to go before they decide. To give them a choice based on truth and the highest standard of care and medical services. A place where women are empowered and valued. They find hope, care and support. They find life and most of the time they find Christ in the process."

Recently I had the opportunity to work with this incredible local organization I'd heard so much about. While I'm not able to share the stories of the women I photographed, I can share the sweet photos of their babies. I can share the kisses and smiles I captured. I can share they chose life. Here are some of the moments from that morning in the clinic.

Choices Women’s Clinic (formerly known as True Life Choice) began in 1983 as a group of Christian friends from Orangewood Presbyterian gathered who knew they had to do something about abortion. They were the first pregnancy center established in Central Florida. Together with many churches, businesses and individuals they have helped save thousands of lives - not just those of the unborn, but the mothers who carry them. They find that when a baby’s life is saved, it has a positive ripple effect across an entire family – and for generations to come.

It was a long week. Caleb was sick almost the entire time and Brandon had a packed schedule seeing physical therapy clients. It was one of those weeks that by Tuesday I was ready for a weekend of rest and quality family time for the three of us.  There is something so simple and sweet about staying home with the people you love most and that's exactly what we needed.

My favorite thing in this season is seeing my husband love on my baby. Moments like these happen daily, but today I decided to grab my camera and save a few memories to show Caleb someday.

Parr Family Fresh 48

I will never forget the moment they laid my son on my chest for the first time. He felt like a bowling ball in my arms after my 32 hour labor and I could barely see him through my watery eyes but every second of that moment is etched into my mind forever.

Recently, I was able to meet a family right after their baby girl was born and document their beginning as a family of three. There's nothing quite like the first few days with your newborn.

I remember finding out when I was pregnant that we were going to have a boy. Immediately I pictured Brandon and our little boy playing outside. I could just see them running barefoot in the grass, throwing a football, and getting dirty. Although Caleb is still too small to run around in the grass, these two are already fulfilling my dreams of having a son.

I cannot get over how much of a mini-Brandon Caleb is becoming. My hope for Caleb is that he would not only reflect the outside appearance of his earthly father, but that he would also reflect the character, faithfulness, and kindness as well. He is one lucky boy to have Brandon Keilman teach him about life.
